Blackjack is a little different then the rest of card games. Rules aren't very complicated, the game itself is fast and interesting, there are several options for players and the main thing is to be better then the dealer.

The goal of the game is to get 21 point, or blackjack. Nevertheless, not even a point more, cause in that case you are busted. Of course, if you have, for example 20 points, and the dealer has 19, you are the winner, but it is still much nicer to get 21.

Card Values

King, Queen and Jack are worth 10 points each, lower cards have the same values written on them, and Ace can be counted as 1 or as 11, depending on the case.

In Blackjack, you have to put your bets even before you receive your cards. Then the dealer deals cards to the players, two cards each, all cards face-up. He also deals two cards to himself, but one of his cards remains face down.

Stand or Hit

In the next phase every player has to decide if he wants to play with those two cards, or he would like another one (stand or hit). He can continue asking another card until he is satisfied, or until he reaches more then 21 points, in which case he is busted.

Of course, the best thing is to get an Ace and a ten as starting hand. In some casinos it pays 1,5:1 on the initial bet.

Additional Options

If the face-up card of a dealer is an Ace, players can pay the insurance. If the dealer has a natural blackjack (10+an Ace), the player will get their money back. You cannot play this option in every casino, but in the most of them you can.

If you get blackjack when the dealer's face-up card is an Ace, you can accept Even Money. If not, there is another form of insurance - if the dealer also has blackjack. In this case you cannot receive any money.

Double Down

If you got a pair, you can split your hand and put another same bet on the second hand.

Double Down is an option when the player doubles his bet, but has to receive one more card.

In case the dealer has blackjack, those players that have less lose, those with 21 get a tie ("push") can keep original bet only, and if the dealer is busted, all of the players who are not busted win their bets.
